Florida offers both personalized and specialty license plates for drivers who want to customize their tag or support a cause.
Personalized Plates

There is an additional $15 yearly personalization fee added to your standard registration fees.
Specialty Plates
Florida offers over 100 specialty plate designs supporting charities, universities, sports teams, environmental programs, and more. Many plates include an annual contribution toward the related organization.
How to Apply
Visit any Tax Collector’s Office to:
- Check availability or confirm your chosen specialty plate
- Review all applicable fees
- Submit your request
Requirements
Bring:
- A valid Florida vehicle registration
- Your plate choice or personalized configuration
- Payment for plate, personalization, and renewal fees (if due)
Processing Time
Once ordered, your plate is produced by the state and mailed to our office, then we mail it directly to you. Production and delivery typically take 10–12 weeks.Your new personalized or specialty plate will arrive by mail once it is ready.
