Paying a Traffic Ticket
Traffic tickets must be paid through the Clerk of the Court in the county where the ticket was issued. The Tax Collector’s Office does not collect payment for traffic citations.
If you have questions about your ticket amount, court date, payment options, or eligibility for traffic school, you must contact the Clerk of the Court for the county listed on your citation.
When to Visit the Tax Collector’s Office
You only need to visit the Tax Collector’s Office if your driver license has been suspended as a result of the ticket. Once the Clerk has updated your case and cleared the suspension requirement, we can assist with reinstating your driving privilege, if eligible.
Driver License Points
Points assessed to your driver license are determined and applied by the Clerk of the Court, not the Tax Collector’s Office. Our office does not control how many points are assessed or remove points from a record.
If you are unsure whether your license is suspended, you may contact our office and we will be happy to review your record with you.
